Key Features

Citel’s EXTender 3000 series gives teleworkers and other single users with ISDN connections seamless remote access to the corporate voice and data networks, and associated applications. There are two EXTender 3000 models:

The EXTender 3000T uses the second ISDN B channel to emulate a terminal adapter, allowing users to connect their PC to the LAN via a PPP dialupconnection.

The EXTender 3000E uses the second B channel for data transmission through a 10Base-T Ethernet connection.

Depending on the needs of the remote user, the second B channel can also be used for analog applications such as fax or modem connection.

Setup and configuration are straightforward. Simply connect EXTender 3000 Remote Units at the remote location over and ISDN line, and connect an EXTender 3000 Switch Unit at the PBX. For larger deployments, multiple EXTender 3000s can be connected to a compatible PBXgateway at the corporate office. Either way, installation is plug-andplay, and set-up is easily accomplished using the phone display or a PC.

The EXTender 3000 interoperates with all leading PBX/KTS systems, allowing remote users to connect to the corporate voice system via the existing PBX or KTS. In addition, the EXTender 3000 is an affordable, scalable solution when adding teleworkers or other single users. New users can be easily connected with a standard EXTender 3000 configuration at the remote location, and an EXTender 3000 switch unit or compatible PBXgateway port at the PBX.
