New Programs Help Consultants Accelerate Enterprise VoIP Migration
SEATTLE - May 1, 2007 – Citel, The VoIP Migration Company™ (LSE AIM: CITE.L), today announced the new Citel Agent Program and Citel Master Agent Program. These programs are designed to accelerate enterprise migration to IP telephony by providing an alternative VoIP migration deployment strategy for integrators and consultants, and increasing awareness of the Citel Portico™ Telephone VoIP Adapter (TVA™) among enterprise customers. Agents enrolled in the programs will receive tools and resources to effectively sell Portico TVA as part of their enterprise VoIP migration portfolio, while enterprises benefit from the dramatic savings Portico TVA provides compared to a typical “rip and replace” migration.
“Integrators and consultants are always looking for new solutions that will shorten sales cycles and provide real value to their customers,” said Steve Sokol, President of Sokol & Associates, an Asterisk consulting and training company based in Kansas City, Missouri. “Citel’s Portico TVA removes the objections regarding the expense and complexity of migrating to a VoIP platform. I’m thrilled to be able to include Citel solutions as part of my portfolio of IP telephony offerings.”
The Citel Agent Program is designed for independent integrators, consultants, and others who contract with enterprises to select new telephony systems. The Citel Master Agent program is designed for individuals or firms who provide telecommunications systems recommendations to an extended network of integrators and consultants.
“Citel’s new Agent and Master Agent Programs will accelerate enterprise VoIP adoption by increasing enterprise awareness of Portico as a cost-effective, transparent IP telephony solution,” said Michael Burke, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Citel. “We are extremely pleased with the response we’re seeing from leading agents in the channel who now offer Portico as an alternative to rip and replace VoIP migration solutions.”
Citel’s Portico TVA enables enterprises to quickly and affordably migrate to VoIP using their existing PBX phones and wiring infrastructure. It connects legacy PBX handsets directly to a premise-based IP PBX or Hosted IP service provider network, and dramatically reduces the expenditure and disruption usually associated with IP telephony migration. With Portico, enterprises avoid the expense of a LAN assessment, LAN upgrade, and new IP handsets.
Citel enables SMBs, large enterprises and service providers to realize the cost and productivity benefits of IP telephony while at the same time leveraging their existing PBX infrastructure. Businesses with single or distributed locations and PBX vendors can now deploy next-generation IP applications and services at their own pace, with little business disruption. Service providers can deploy hosted IP telephony services quickly, without having to rip-and-replace existing enterprise PBX handsets and LAN cabling. Citel is a publicly traded company with corporate headquarters in Seattle, and development offices in Calgary, Alberta (Canada) and Nottingham, England (UK).
